ABOUT AND APPROACH
Warmth, curiosity and genuine care
I believe that when you feel truly heard and understood, change begins naturally. Everything I do is built around creating that experience for you.
ABOUT ME
My background and approach
I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP (Member 414857 MBACP). I bring warmth, genuine curiosity and deep respect for your experience to every session.
My background includes academic research in counselling philosophy and guest lecturing in applied philosophy for well-being. I have many years of experience teaching mindfulness and meditation, which continues to shape the way I work.
Alongside my private practice I work as a counsellor for Wiltshire Mind. I am passionate about the therapeutic process and feel honoured to walk alongside people as they find their way to a more peaceful way of being.
HOW I WORK
Integrative therapy, tailored to you
Because every person’s journey is different, I draw from several complementary approaches and adapt them to what you actually need.
01
Person-Centred
CREATING THE CONDITIONS FOR GROWTH
Before techniques or frameworks, what matters most is the relationship between us. I offer warmth, genuine curiosity and deep respect. When you feel truly seen and understood, change begins to happen naturally, from the inside out.
02
Mindfulness-Based
CULTIVATING AWARENESS
Rather than fighting your thoughts and feelings, mindfulness helps you meet them with more space and compassion. Emotions that once felt overwhelming can move through more freely, leaving more room for calm and clarity.
03
Psychosynthesis
INTEGRATING ALL PARTS OF THE SELF
Sometimes we feel pulled in different directions, as though parts of us are in conflict. This approach helps those parts find voice and understanding — and connects you with a deeper, steadier sense of self beneath the noise of everyday life.
04
Relational
HEALING THROUGH CONNECTION
Many of our deepest struggles began in relationships. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space to gently explore how you relate to others and to yourself — and with that awareness, old patterns can soften.
05
Existential
LIVING WITH MEANING
This thread runs through much of our work: what matters to you, who you want to be, how to face uncertainty without being overwhelmed. An invitation to live more consciously and more true to yourself.
06
Trauma-Informed
UNDERSTANDING AND RELEASING THE PAST
Trauma can shape how we think, feel and behave in ways we don’t always recognise. Working in a trauma-informed way means moving carefully and gently, always at your pace, creating enough safety for difficult experiences to be explored and gradually released naturally, from the inside out.
